CHALLENGE

With 27,000 clients, annual renewals, and changing government regulations, managing employee benefits is a complex challenge. Does the client want to offer HMO, PPO, or change plans the following year? Do the employees want low deductible high-premium plans or the inverse?


SOLUTION

The client turned to Kinetech to develop a custom solution that integrates with their benefits access application (BenefitPoint) to seamlessly create comprehensive renewal plans for customers. The application has multiple integration points with BenefitPoint and assist sales personnel to create personalized renewal plans for their clients while aggregating data for the executive team.

Kinetech designed and developed the application alongside key stakeholders of the client. Using agile delivery and the Kinetech Digital Execution Strategy, Kinetech business engineers delivered critical functionality while conceptualizing the overall solution.  Using iterative development, Kinetech designed, developed, tested, and gathered feedback during incremental sprints. The process is continually repeated to ensure the client’s expectations continue to be met while the risk of failure is contained.


RESULTS

The initial project kicked off in July of 2017. The client was so pleased with Kinetech's expertise and the initial release, they have Kinetech on for support and to further develop the solution. The application currently supports the client's employee benefits team and thousands of clients. Kinetech continues to iteratively develop and support the client's development requirements.
